The Importance of Goals in Conlanging

The only objective criteria for assessing whether a conlang is good or not is comparing it to its goal. If you establish from the very beginning that the goal of the language is naturalism then the whether or not it's naturalistic becomes the only way of assessing whether it's good or bad if you see what I mean. So yes keep your goals in mind and the other one is to understand that it's a learning process and that you will get better if you keep doing it. Yeah yeah well it is very interesting and I suggest people check it out. It is like you say that you're staring at a wall trying to figure things out but there's quite a bit of commentary involved.
