Introduction
Sarah Windman's novel Tin Man is about two men who have a love affair as teenagers. The three do come together again, but an accident pulls their lives apart. By the end of the novel, Ellis is alone in France, where he's spent happy times with Michael many years before. Despite the sadness, the illness and destructive fate that have shaped much of his life, he finds contentment of a kind at the end of story.
