How Deep Learning Can Replace Physicists

i went over to the computer science department heare at erbine, and i said, our networks are kind of dumb. We were using neural networks already, but they weren't very smartand we found that if you gave the same problem to a physicist, they could usually do better at finding new particles or understanding what was going on. And so there was this revolution in neural networks peoplei heard about called deep learning. Were basicall you just make your networks have more layers so they can learn more complex functions. They had deeper networks, and their networks were actually smarter than our physicists. So they did a better job than we were doing at pulling this information out of our data.
