The Evolution of Plants and Polyploids
In plants, if you use certain cell cycle mutins, you can have cells that are larger. This is kind of exactly the opposite of what we're talking about a me ike, the strawberries you buy in the grocery store are actually octoploid. So it so it i's saying that maybe there' some sort of a selective pressure to making larger organs when you're a plant and stuck in one place. When you're a mobile animal and can eno get away from stresses and other other issues. It makes you a better competitor, to be able to resist those mechanisms that confine your spatial in order to restrict your spatial plasticity.
