Architected Documentation - What Do You Mean?

An architected document is often presented as guidance to the team that has to implement the solution. It can be used for collaboration on decision making, but it also helps preserve knowledge for later. Architected documents should have something approved before we actually commit to an architecture. And then there's a third role that we see for architected documentation, which has to do with project governance.
