The Importance of Regulating Consciousness

The importance of regulating AI has shot to the top of every political, economic agenda. I'm very suspicious that it is just information processing that happens to be implemented on a biological computer. Even to get large language models to understand let alone be conscious might require that we train the whole thing in a body. The more you look at the brain, the less like a computer it seems to be.
