The Importance of Studying History

I fear we are in some way, returning to a pre-Christian age of rage. We don't have the restrictions now on satire that perhaps we didn't before post-war years. What I do love is really vicious satire. It creates the possibility for spilling out into the physical. There was a kind of civilizing process that went on but what replaced it was an aggression in language.
