The Origins of Mary Magdalene
There was a noble desire to separate Mary Magdalene from the sinful, anointing woman in Luke chapter seven. But there's literally no evidence that she came from that place before the sixth century. She can't have been anointed by Mary of Bethany because she is clearly identified in Luke's gospel.
