The Causal Direction Is Going the Wrong Way
A justice ruth ginsburg's daughter is a law professor, and she wrote an article specifically on a case that was pending before the supreme court. Not only did justice ginsburg not recuse herself, of course, she voted consistent with her daughter. No problem there.
