Is There a Good Short Term Hedge?

I think a lot of us viewed them as some sort of a hedge. If inflation goes up all of a sudden and we get unexpected inflation, the tips are going to do really good. It turns out what they are is a very risky asset in the short run, but a riskless asset in the long run. In any given year like this year, you might lose 15 percent. Yeah, they're certainly not a good short term hedge. They've gotten killed.
