The Importance of Having a Free Saturday
"I worked hard to have my sermon pretty much done by Thursday night when I went to bed," he says. "As I look back on those early years with little kids in ministry, that was huge." The majority of Saturday by lunchtime on Saturday, the pastor is able to spend the rest of the day with his wife and children. But as they get a little bit older, and are they going to be involved in extracurricular activities? Is there going to be football or basketball or baseball or ballet or theater or, you know, piano recitals?"
