The Difference Between Meaning and Purpose
Happiness and contentment are temporary states of being. They require us a particular environment or person to have them. But fulfilment and joy really is something that flows from inside us to the outside world. In order for us to get to the what i would consider more evolved emotional states of joy and fulfilment, meaning must evolve into purpose. We can change people, but it should not be our directive or our intent.
