What's Happening in Tunisia?
Tunisia was the one country to kind of come out of that period as a functioning democracy, or at least so it seemed for a very long time. But what they sort of failed to do was both consolidate the democratic process in progress, and they really didn't implement a lot of the constitution. So in 2019, when they had their latest presidential elections, they brought in a new president, Qayside, who was a political outsider. He riled up the people in a way that made them sort of wanting some change.
