AI learns to write by looking at average writers. It looks at a huge body of average writers and then it comes up with this sort of average thing that everybody is going to understand. A professional humorist can offend people, and that's the funny part. But so far AI just prefers things that most people are familiar with. So I believe that AI has logical barriers that might be permanent, that keeps it from being a great writer or a really funny one.
