The book is called The War Correspondents of Leon Trotsky, the Balkan Wars, 1912, 1913. He's very contemptuous, superior, imperious, dismissive of everybody that he meets while being surprisingly faithful and recording details. I really do think there, you can see some of the seeds of his ultimate downfall in this book because he's just constantly underestimating everybody and overestimating himself.
