Hitchens' Response to Ramadan's Argument for Religion

Mark Whitaker: I was kind of dissatisfied with both of them. Hitchens entire speeches, his entire line of argument was almost like he'd taken the sort of standard pitch. And whereas Professor Ramadan makes those relativist, interpretivist kind of arguments that are essentially implying that if you've seen these bad things, then that's not really the real religion. So yeah, I didn't find either stance particularly convincing. He says Tariq Akwing-yu rearsed the point about the Ottoman Empire and the interpreting history in simplistic manners.
