The Difference Between Pathogen Inactivation and Pathogen Reduction
There's not a lot of pure randomized controlled trial data out there like that. Switzerland has universally adopted intercept treatment of platelets. And they essentially found no cases of bacterial transmitted sepsis following the use of intercept platelets. There are some other good pieces of data around like that that also are pretty, pretty effective in establishing that these procedures appear to decrease transmission of disease.
