How to Choose the Right Agent for Your Story

I think we talk about it usually I don't think I necessarily write things up. There are definitely agents who will only send me something if they think it's really right for me. Jill as an editor now I'm asking this question when you're wearing your editor's hat are there certain agents that when they submit to you you immediately read their submission from their client because you know that this agent has a really good sense of what the market wants or not necessarily. And I'm wondering if you have advice for emerging writers when it comes to one who they should query with and two if they get an offer how they should assess that offer of representation.
