Ceres is an asteroid, but it's a dwarf planet. 35 % of the total mass is in dwarf planet series. Dawn discovered organic materials and a rich inventory of other chemicals. We were not allowed to let dawn come in contact with ceres because this exotic alien world was once covered with an ocean of water.
