NATO has 30 members, likely to be 32 early in 2023 when Sweden and Finland join. CSTO now numbers just six countries: Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. All of these nations still mostly rely on Russian and Soviet equipment to equip their militaries. So why is there this lack of cohesiveness between the CSTO nations?
