Mary Kuch: mansplaining is not an act of splaining necessarily. She says we need to watch out for ourselves doing that and make sure that we don't kind of do that. "Don't read subtext into it" she advises people who take her words at face value. But sometimes there are other layers even if you don't want there to be, she adds.
