In 1861, when Charles was 26, his father's health began to fail and Charles went back home to Wichita to help run the company. He became convinced that in essence, his company would thrive if it was run on free market principles. And also in the mid 1960s is when he comes up with this idea for market based management. The Koch brothers are now worth an estimated $80 billion.
