The Tax-Free Dividend Allowance and Capital Gains Tax
The tax-free dividend allowance has been reduced to 6,000 pounds. This means that £655,000 people are now going to have to do tax returns. Capital gains tax is payable and profits made on the disposal of certain assets,. Like income tax or for dividends, they're exempt from capital gains tax.
