Davy Camin i started out as a mathematician and went to the mathematical olympia. His first philosophy book was girdle sebark by douglas hobstadter, which he says helped him think about consciousness in retrospect. He also experienced synecesu when he had monocular vision for the first time at 10 years old. And that got him thinking about some of the peculiar qualities of experience. How does all this processing even happen? In retrospect, that's a kind of an aversion of the mass process.
