The Last Days of Jerusalem
The king of babylon had appointed gedeliah, son of ahikam, governor in the land. He was killed by ishmael as they ate bread together there at mizpa. Ishmael also killed all the judeans and chaldean soldiers who happened to be there. Mipa, north of jerusalem, becomes the main provincial centre. But it doesn't last long. Within literally weeks of th destruction, we have this dis governor assassinated n the new gasky in charge.
