Is the Word of God an Errant Cause?

Bibliolatry is not founded on the inherency of scripture. My faith is founded upon christ, he says. But it's a different question then to ask whether scripture is an errant cause. So that the bible is inerrant because we trust in christ. And the inerherence of the bible flows from the reality that god has given us a witness to jesus in the bible. Therefore, preaching of the word of god cannot be regarded as a source of authority apart from scripture.
