You Play Up Your Achievements and You Down Play the Men's Achievements

I think that we still in a society where, ah, the woman's achievement is down play and the men's achievements are elevated. My mother grew up at a time when it was that way. That's how you keep a harmonious family. In my family, now, my husband will celebrate my achievements like it's all noble prizes that i've won - just as i would his. We both lift each other up. Maybe that's the future generation. Because if we don't do that, then what happens is we're basically telling women we're all going to keep one foot on the brake and one foot in the accelerator. Which i don't think is fair.
