The Columbia Gorge in Washington State

James Shubsky is from Washington state and owns a store in the middle of the Columbia River Gorge. The gorge itself was designated as a national scenic area in the 1980s because it's so incredibly beautiful, he says. James: I have been an infantry soldier and a wildland forest firefighter and a search and rescue EMT. And this is some of the most rugged and wild terrain out there.
