In most cases, the interference effect doesn't occur for most people. It's worth keeping in mind that resistance training stimulus is pretty similar. If you want to both go for a run and get a lift in on a single day, if you can split that into two sessions separated by at least four to six hours, you'll get a lot of mileage out of that. And if possible, just do it on separate days.
