In detail, i actually love nonhumanoid aliens the most. But this is one of those unes things where i knew i needed to balance the story with familiarity and grounding for the reader. I'm not convinced there's something fundamentally superior about the general design of the human body. So if we assume humanoid aliens evolving on other planets, or assuming some earthlike features of those planets, which is definitely true and feasible in this multiverse,. so i think the answer is a mix.
