rachel's family and their legal team worked very hard to pass a bill called s h b one, two, three, six. It makes it a criminal offence in america if you do not summon assistance for a person that has suffered substantial bodily harm. To day, the berkheimer family is still grieving the loss of their rachel. However, her father takes solace in a particular photograph the police showed him. In this photo, you can see an imprint in the soil of rachel's hands where she fell after she was shot. And it looks like her hands were pressed together near her chest, meaning she was likely praying in her final moments on earth.
