The Argument for Homer's Supremacy

In terms of establishing Homer's supremacy, I think it's kind of two parts. The argument has two basic parts. First, you have to establish his supremacy among the poets and this is the easier one. And here he has a great line that I'd like to read. It seems that what Cicero said of Euripides that he believed his individual verses to be separate testimonies can be said much more truly of Homer since Euripides and the other poets gush forth from Homer like rivulets from a never failing source.
