The Repugnant Conclusion

Philosophy of population is about the ethics of creating new people. Can it be good to create a person with a happy life? Is the non existence of some future person, if that person would be very happy, is that a moral loss? And once you get into that, you start comparing populations of different sizes. Do we want small number of extremely well off lives or are there arguments against this?
