The Confusion Over Vesuvius Eruption
The traditional date surrounding the eruption of Vesuvius in centenine ad may not be as accurate as we first thought. A lot of evidence suggests that the eruption happened far deeper into the year then August and other things have come to light. I think one thing that interests me is this isn't a question of what was happening in summer versus autumn you've got to look at it both ways.
