James gallaher talks to science journalist Nicholas davis about contraception and its impacts on menstration periods. James first heard of Contraception by accident when a friend told him he had to get his implant replaced. The conteceptive implant completely stops my period, apart from the occasional little bit of spotting or break through bleeding. For me, this isn't going to be necessarily the case for everybody - i have sort of unpredictable bleeding that can be difficult using these methods. But for me, saidit, it did completely stop my periods. This is the b b c podcast.
