The West of the Pass

The west of the pass called to people who were chafing against the staid and stale ties of the east. People from connecticut settled the region in the early decades of the nineteenth century. To these immigrants, the west offered hope and a promise. The settlers who moved west came not only with high expectations, but with a whole range of talents and professions.
