Ramel's Debt Crisis

As no one had any money to pay for anything, barter alone became the only means of exchange. Interest rates sky rocketed well past usury into double secret usury. Ramel was forced to borrow to cover the state's debts. He was taking on interest rates that were downright scandalous. It looked a lot like he was in cahoots with moustache twirling financiers to rob the government blind. But ramel was really not in cahoot with the financiers, or if he was, he is about to double cross them.
