The ideal level of confidence probably lies somewhere between being an armchair quarterback and an imposter. According to what's now known as the Dunning Kruger effect, it's when we lack competence that we are most likely to be brimming with over confidence. Think of the people you know who believe that they don't deserve their success. They're genuinely unaware of just how intelligent, creative or charming they are. How do we find that sweet spot? The ignorance of arrogance is one of my favorite accolades.
