The Problem With Classified Information in the United States

In a healthy democracy we're supposed to know essentially everything about what our government does. In Washington almost everything is deemed classified. The rule should be transparency and how public power is being exercised that's why it's called the public sector. Conversely the government's not supposed to know anything about what we do as private citizens.
