Observability is about your ability to understand what your system is doing. It includes your familiarity with the system and your understanding of what it normally does. I also want observability to help people who are joining the team to learn what the system is doing, too. We have eight years of written code to maintain as like 20 something engineers. Sometimes we dive into a place in the code base thate wev never been before,. Are they better than then youl?
