There wasn't one opportunity, i think, in the movie where they were like, show, don't tell. I'm glad he killed his dad. The only a happy thing about his childhood was poisoning. Am tra spoilerler for anyone who hasn't seen it. Like you can establish that someone grew up in an abusive family without showing a child being beaten. An oh, my god. And then i don't understand why, if the kid, mack, when he was a kid, told his pastor, and the result was he didn't get any help. That was upsetting.
