Luxembourg's view that Russia was potentially a site of revolution was partly informed by her experience as a poll. She grew up in Poland and saw through the argument for the nonsense that it was, she says. Luxembourg: You don't justify a war like this in the name of turning Russia from a feudal into a capitalist society for the sake of a socialist revolution. And what capitalism does, whatever stage it's at, is it tries to control the market.
