Science Needs Items and Four Facts

Each week I come up with three science needs items and four facts, two real and one fictitious. And then I challenge my panel of skeptics to tell me which one they think is the fake. You have a theme this week, it's kind of a fall theme, although it's a little bit late, but it's still it's still a perfectly acceptable fall theme. The theme is apples. Apples. Yeah, Jay, how do you like that? Apple. Can't beat me to that. All right, three things about apples to really one fake.
