The Spider of Heaven
Buddha looked down into hell and saw all the horrible things in it. He thought of a man called Candatta who had been an evil man but once did something good. When he was going to steal from a man there was a spider next to him that made a beautiful gold thread. Buddha remembered this and gave Candatta a chance to leave hell.
