It was absolutely splendid and moving. And there were several moments where I cried and several moments where I definitely laughed out loud. So it was a very enjoyable and I think important book. book. Hey, everyone. So my professional identity is that of Dr. Jamie Marich, EMDR, scholar, author, trainer, considered largely to be a dissociation expert because of our own lived experience with dissociation, which last time we were on your podcast, that's what we were talking about was dissociation made simple. We are somebody like you, Melissa, who really seeks to normalize the experience of dissociation to move away from pathologizing models of it. And yes, EMDR has really been at the center of our career since we started out on this journey as a therapist. Yet the thing you're talking to me about today related because EMDR was certainly a very useful tool in helping us to heal from the impact of spiritual abuse and religious trauma. Yet, yeah, we're going somewhere different with this book.
