Jamie Diamond intervened personally and said to both sides, "We don't have the market share for these kinds of turf wars" In that case, it was left up to the client to decide which part of the bank they wanted to work with. The ongoing litigation and arbitration proceedings make things more complicated for someone like Jamie Diamond to get involved.
