The Importance of Territories in the Americas
The 1760 capitulation of Montreal, along with the 1763 Treaty of Paris that officially ends the war, redraw the map of North America and Britannia's favor. From Canada to the Gulf Coast, Great Britain takes everything the French control leads to the Mississippi. King George can't lay off his greatly expanded army because he would upset loyal top brass serving in the House of Lords. The British people are not okay with the king maintaining standing armies in their towns.
