Will Somalia Declare a Famine?

Famine is the most severe stage on the United Nations classification system for monitoring food insecurity. Strict conditions must be met, including at least 30% of children under five suffering from acute malnutrition in an area. It's not possible for any government to declare a famine by itself. Independent analysts and the UN must be involved. If that examination of the data come out with the situation of the country is facing a famine, I'm sure the government will not spare any effort to protect its people.
