In forty four out of 50 american states, there is a disinvestment in public higher education. Even very rich states like my state here of massachusetts, or california, are not investing sufficiently in publichigher education. We have those great political tensions in which universities are e attack. This will make us less competitive, without question. Gobeli: Higher education is the one industry in which the united states remains number one.
