How to Memorize a Deck of Cards
A lot of people ask me, why do you teach people to memorize a deck of cards? Well, here's a cool thing. If you have an image for every card in a deck, then you have an images for every tone combination in Mandarin. So that's one way you can help yourself speed up is just add another system and then switch between two systems. That's called cognitive switching. Very healthy. There's research that shows that you can get something like 32 years of brain fortification against things like Alzheimer's and dementia.
